Prasad Penmetsa M.D., M.R.C.P., F.A.C.G.
Dr. Prasad Penmetsa graduated from Rangaraya Medical College, in India with his M.B.B.S. He trained in Internal Medicine and gastroenterology in England and obtained his MRCPI, Membership of Royal College of Physicians of Ireland.
Dr. Penmetsa completed his gastroenterology Fellowship at the University Hospital of Cleveland in Ohio and also at the University of Rochester in New York. He served as Attending Gastroenterologist Faculty at the University of Rochester Medical Center for two years before joining RGA.
Dr. Penmetsa is board certified in gastroenterology and is well trained in GI procedures including ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography). His clinical interests focus on esophageal disorders, pancreatobiliary diseases, VCE, viral hepatitis as well as inflammatory bowel disease.
Dr. Penmetsa volunteers as teaching faculty at Unity Health System’s Medicine Residency Program as well as an attending Gastroenterologist at Rochester General Hospital.
